THE TWISTER™ - REGULAR
The Twister's breakthrough design offers a the mining industry. As an economic alternative to PDC bits, the Twister drills with fixed cutter productivity for only a third of the price. Designed to be run with traditional jet-type fluid flow, in a work-over application, drilling cement, cast iron bridge plugs and retaining rings. The XG Twister features five jet type ports for high pressure fluid flow to break up and clean the bottom of the hole.
All of these features lead to increased bit life and shorter drill out runs.
Formations: Workover & completion
Features: Five jet type ports, tungsten carbide chisel inserts
Applications: work-over, cement drilling, cast iron bridge plugs and retaining rings
Circulation: Regular
THE BADGER™ - REVERSE
The Badger is specifically designed to be run in a reverse circulation, work-over application, drilling cement, cast iron bridge plugs and retaining rings. The Badger features three large circulation ports that provide the maximum amount of fluid flow when used in a Reverse Circulation application. Aggressive tungsten carbide chisel inserts provide an exceptionally fast drilling rate and added cutting structure durability.
Applications: Workover & completion
Features: Three large circulation ports, tungsten carbide chisel inserts
Circulation: Reverse
THE ELIMINATOR™ - REGULAR
The Eliminator has a concave face for centering on the surface being drilled and is designed drilling the outside of the hole first.
Applications: Workover & completion
Features: Concave cutting head, 5 ports, large junk slots, liberal shirttail/gage protection inserts
Circulation: Regular
FEATURES
Forged Steel Tooth Cones
This superior method provides stronger more impact resistant teeth when compared to milling as the metal grain structure from the forging process is preserved resulting in a stronger tooth.
Advanced Metallurgy
Tightly specified premium materials and processing techniques ensure oilfield grade quality in the complete workover line.
Heat Treatment
Varel’s heat treatment process selectively carburizes and hardens bearing wear surface, ensuring a tough microstructure. This provides long lasting reliable bearing performance.
Process Controls
Critical tooth hard facing process are continually monitored and updated to ensure the highest quality hard facing deposit.
